- Talk on Nutrition & Healthy Eating - May 29th 2024
Nutrition and Health Coach, Angela Egan, came in to speak to the pupils in 5th & 6th classes about different types of foods available which promote good health and fitness throughout their lives. It was a really interesting presentation and hopefully the children understood the importance of eating wholesome and healthy foods.
- Cambodian Teachers & Students visit Scoil Naomh Feichin
Scoil Naomh Feichín hosted a small group of education leaders and students from Cambodia on May 28th 2024. The visit was coordinated by Michael Garvey who has worked as a substitute teacher in our school over the last few years and now does some work with Cambodian organisation, PEPY Empowering Youth. Ms Brannigan and her 6th class pupils completed projects on the theme of Sustainable Development in preparation for the visit. - Planatarium Dome
The pupils were delighted to learn more about astrology when we had a very special visit from the Armagh Planatarium. The Dome was set up in the school hall for the full day.
- GAA Stars
Congratulations to Tadhg O'Neill who has been selected to play on the Louth Cumann na mBunscol boys team which will play an exhibition match at half time in the Louth v Dublin Leinster Football Final on May 12th.
Congratulations also to Mary Jane Rafferty who has been selected on the Louth Primary School Girls Camogie team which will also play in Croke Park in the coming months.
Mary Jane Rafferty, Tadhg O'Neill, Rory Mulholland and Abbie Walsh represented Scoil Naomh Feichín in the Cumann na mBunscol Lú Skills Challenge Competition in April.
