Anti-Bullying Week  Nov 11th – 15th

We will be revisiting the topic of Bullying in our school next week. All classes will be working with their teachers on Anti-Bullying lessons and activities from the SPHE curriculum.

In addition, the 3rd & 4th classes will be joining with hundreds of other schools from all over the island of Ireland and engaging in a live online Anti-Bullying Megathon Extravaganza.

The principal will be facilitating an anti-bullying workshop with the 5th & 6th class and he’ll be using content from the new Bí Cineálta policy and procedures which will be introduced into schools next year.

Finally, everyone in the school is invited to support Odd Socks Day on Tuesday next to celebrate difference and encourage kindness and tolerance.

St Feichin’s Hurlers

The pupils were so excited to meet three of the star hurlers from St Fechin’s GAA Club on last Thursday afternoon. The players came along to the school with club official, Donal Lynch, to show the pupils the two major trophies that the hurling team won in 2024.

St Fechin’s hurlers are in action in Drogheda this Saturday in the first round of the Leinster club championship. Best of luck to the team in their match that starts at 1pm in the Gaelic Grounds on the North Road.

ATTENDANCE AWARDS (Sept & Oct)

Congratulations to all of the pupils who had excellent attendance records at school over the course of September and October. Special attendance certificates were presented to pupils who had Full Attendance on each of these months and also to the pupils who only missed one day in each month. All of these pupils were entered into a draw for prizes of shop vouchers. We are once again focusing on improving attendance across all classes and will be celebrating excellent attendance achievements throughout the school year.
