Some more useful information for parents/guardians at the start of the school year..................................
- Seesaw App -
It's important that this online platform doesn't dominate home life or a teacher’s daily routine so it is important to set time boundaries when replying to parental queries.
Please see the document below for more information about Parental Guidelines and Best Practice and if you haven't already downloaded the app, please do so, as soon as possible.
- Attendance -Attendance at school each day is so vitally important for each child, so apart from unavoidable absences due to illness, etc., we hope that all of our pupils will be in class every day. Always write a short note to the teacher to explain any absences as this information needs to be recorded.
- Lost & Found -Please have a quick look at this video which shows the unclaimed items that we have been keeping in school since the start of 2024. Unfortunately, unless these are claimed soon, we will need to dispose of them. It's so important to label tracksuit tops, sweaters and jackets as it's impossible to find their owners if they have no names on the labels. https://youtu.be/banuteI5RvE
- Drop Off Area -Please don't park in the drop off areas outside the school. These areas are designed for minibuses and for drivers who want to drop off and pick up children. If you need to come into the school or walk to the gate with your children, please use the carpark across the road.
- Start of School Year Mass -We have arranged with Fr Paul that we'll have our School Mass for the start of the school year 2024/25 on October 3rd (Thursday at 10am) --- parents/guardians, grandparents and siblings are all very welcome to come along on that morning.
- New Junior Infants --- here's a short highlights video showing the children who have started primary school in Scoil Naomh Feichin this year. https://youtu.be/86lmbZCl_VY
- St Fechin's GAA - Our local GAA club has asked that I pass on information (attached) about the club's Walkathon and Family Funday this weekend. We are delighted that the gaelic football coach and hurling coach, Paddy Lynch, have returned to teach basic skills to our pupils again this year -
