Exceptional School Closure - Jan 24th 2025
Our school will be closed on Friday, January 24th due to the storm warning issued by the National Emergency Coordination Group.
- Statement issued by the Department of Education re. Status Red Alert
Due to the extreme nature of Storm Éowyn and the threat of multi-hazard weather events on Friday 24 January as confirmed by Met Éireann, the National Emergency Coordination Group has advised that all primary and post-primary schools in red warning areas will close for the duration of the red warning.
Annual Review - Anti-Bullying Policy & Procedures
The Board of Management carried out the annual review of the school's anti-bullying policy and procedures at its recent meeting on Jan 20th 2025. The updated policy and notification of review can be found by clicking the link below.
Teaching & Learning of English
The Board of Management has also ratified the the new school policy for the Teaching & Learning of English. This newly revised policy is aligned with the New Langauge Curriculum.
Annual Report 2023/24
The Board of Management has published its Annual Report to the School Community for the school year 2023/24. A link to this document is at the bottom of this page.
School Admissions 2025/26:
The final date for receipt of Enrolment Application Forms for the admission of new pupils to classes in our school for the school year 2025/26 is January 31st 2025.
The school will be in touch with parents before the end of February to provide an update on the allocation of school places.
School Planning Day - Jan. 27th 2025
The school will be closed for pupils on Monday, January 27th as the teachers will be engaged in whole school planning to prepare for the introduction of a new Mathematics Curriculum.
The SNAs will also be involved in additional training related to their role on that day.
Parent-Teacher Meetings:
Class teachers and support teachers will be making arrangements to meet parents over the coming weeks and we hope that all parents will avail of the opportunity to visit the school to speak to their child's teacher/s.
Chess Club 2025
The school chess club will reopen on Thursday, January 9th. Pupils from 3rd and 4th classes are invited to participate along with the 5th & 6th class pupils.
